Meet Kels

Your Voice Coach, Performer, and Advocate

I'm Kels Rezmer (he/him), a transmasculine voice teacher, performer, and advocate based in Grand Rapids, MI. With over 20 years of experience in vocal performance and instruction, I specialize in guiding singers and speakers through vocal development, especially during periods of change.

My Journey

After eight years of classical mezzo-soprano training and an additional 15 years as a musical theatre high belter, I began testosterone therapy in 2023. Like many of my clients, I navigated the complexities of vocal transformation—rediscovering my range, adjusting repertoire, and embracing a voice that felt authentically mine. This personal experience deepened my empathy and expertise in supporting others through similar journeys.

As the only voice coach on testosterone in the Grand Rapids area, I offer a unique perspective and compassionate guidance to those exploring their vocal identity.

Teaching Philosophy

At K Voice Studio, our motto is "Find Your Voice." I believe every individual has the potential to sing with authenticity and confidence. My approach is rooted in:

  • Empathy: Understanding the nuances of vocal change and providing a supportive environment.

  • Personalization: Tailoring lessons to each student's goals and challenges.

  • Sustainability: Focusing on healthy, long-term vocal development.

Whether you're a beginner, navigating vocal changes, or refining your technique, I am committed to helping you discover and express your unique voice.
