Who I Am
About My Journey
I am a transmasculine singer, voice teacher, and performing artist in Grand Rapids, MI. After 8 years of voice training as a classical mezzo-soprano and an additional 15 years training as a music theatre high belter, I began testosterone in 2023, and like my clients before me, I found myself himself navigating my own voice change and the difficulties of sourcing new repertoire and grieving the talent it sometimes feels I have lost. Being the only voice coach on testosterone in the Grand Rapids area, I believe that I bring a level of empathy and compassion to the developing community that not many others can. I am a specialist in training developing voices, coaching stage fright, and have a niche interest in voice science and considering the voice through mind-body connection.

For 20 years, I have been passionately providing singing lessons & coaching to singers and speakers of all levels, from professional performers to karaoke lovers to anyone who wants to learn to sing!
My passion is teaching beginning singers and singers that are navigating vocal change. I have studied the elementary unchanged singing voice, pubescent voices, menopausal voices and voices of all kinds on HRT.
My studio motto is “find your voice”. I believe that anyone can sing with the knowledge and safe space to do so. I also believe that it is possible to find a sustainable, desirable sound that still sounds authentic. I DO NOT churn out singers who all sound the same.
